How To Get Rid Of Cellulite

Cellulite is a skin condition that most of us find unsightly and embarrassing. No matter how often we are told that some 80% of people have cellulite and that it doesn’t mean that you are fat (quite the contrary, actually), we still hate it and want to get rid of it. Unfortunately, there is no way at all that you can completely get rid of cellulite. Fortunately, there are plenty of things you can try to make their appearance reduced to the point that you can almost not see them anymore.

1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate

You must make sure that your skin and your body are fully hydrated. Hence, make sure you use a really good quality moisturizer, preferably with certified organic ingredients on the areas where you see the cellulite. Additionally, you must always drink plenty of water each day. The official guideline is to drink at least eight eight-ounce glasses (half a gallon or two liters) per day. However, you should increase this when you are in hotter areas. There is no such thing as too much water!

2. Exfoliate

A second important element is to exfoliate. One of the best methods to achieve this is by using sea minerals in a hot bath. After you have soaked for a while, pamper yourself by rubbing sea minerals (often sold as bath salts) all over your body, paying particular attention to the cellulite affected areas. Again, try to choose a product that is completely natural and organic.

3. Live a Healthy Lifestyle

You cannot have beautiful skin if your body isn’t healthy inside and out. This means that you must eat a healthy diet and that you must engage in regular physical exercise. Always consume plenty of fruits and vegetables (a minimum of five portions a day) and lots of grains and cut out any processed foods from your diet, as these contain too much sugar, salt and fat. You also have to exercise a lot. Any physical exercise will do, but if you can incorporate anything that actually targets the areas where you have cellulite, it would be even better.

4. Try Cellulite Creams

There are a number of creams on the market that promise to target cellulite. Although some of these creams certainly have benefits, the vast majority of them do not. You need to use shoppers’ common sense in order to figure out which ones will do the most for your body. Choose one that is organic and natural for starters. Secondly, anything that is advertised too heavily and uses buzz words should be avoided. A product that guarantees your cellulite will disappear overnight should also be avoided, as it simply isn’t possible.

In conclusion, cellulite is a curse that most of us suffer from. By keeping that at the back of your mind, by having confidence in the beauty of your own body, you will immediately be a lot less bothered by it. And in the mean time, you could use the above tips to help you at least reduce their appearance.
